LICENSING

Information about licensing, attribution, and third‑party trademarks.

1. Udemie

Unless stated otherwise, Udemie and its branding are owned by Udemie.

2. Third‑party platforms

Udemy, Coursera, and LinkedIn Learning are trademarks of their respective owners. Udemie is not affiliated with or endorsed by them.

3. Open source

Some parts of the product include open‑source dependencies, each licensed under its own terms. The desktop app additionally bundles two standalone programs, listed below. Both run as separate processes and are not linked into Udemie.

4. ffmpeg

The desktop app bundles ffmpeg and ffprobe, used to combine video and audio tracks and to convert between media formats. They are redistributed unmodified from the yt-dlp FFmpeg-Builds project and are licensed under the GNU General Public License, version 3. A copy of that licence ships with the app, next to the binaries.

Written offer of source. The corresponding source is the FFmpeg revision named in the binary’s own version string, available from github.com/FFmpeg/FFmpeg. For three years from the date you received your copy of Udemie, we will also provide, on request, the complete corresponding source for the exact build distributed with it, for no more than our cost of distribution. Write to contact@zenderock.me.

5. yt-dlp

The desktop app bundles yt-dlp, redistributed unmodified and released into the public domain under The Unlicense.
